Share your story. Shape how data is told.
We are looking for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to join our research study. We want to learn the best way to create data stories and support your self-advocacy.
- $50 gift card
- Up to 1 hour
- Over Zoom, from home
What is this study about?
Data stories are ways of explaining information — like charts, numbers, and facts — using plain language, pictures, and everyday examples. When data is shared accessibly, it can help people speak up for themselves and make their own choices.
In this study, we want to learn the best way to create data stories that work for people with IDD. You will work one-to-one with a researcher. There are no right or wrong answers — we simply want to hear your ideas and opinions.
Taking part is your choice
Joining is completely voluntary. You can stop at any time, and you can skip any question you do not want to answer. Your decision will not affect any services or support you receive.
Who can join
You can take part if all four of these are true for you:
- You are 18 to 60 years old.
- You have lived experience as a person with an intellectual and developmental disability (IDD).
- You are legally responsible for yourself.
- You know how to use — and have access to — a computer and a reliable internet connection.
Do you use assistive technology?
If you use assistive technologies to access a computer or communication devices, please contact the research team to discuss options for participation. We will work with you to find a format that fits.
